Great Little Box Company Ltd./ Ideon Packaging (GLBC) has announced that it has again been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers. This annual competition organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 employers, has selected GLBC to be recognized for this coveted award. The award recognizes the small and medium enterprises that offer Canada’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies.

According to GLBC, some of the reasons GLBC was selected are:

• GLBC lets everyone share in the company’s success through a formal profit-sharing program, and also organizes a company-wide trip to Las Vegas or Mexico to celebrate the achievement of its “Big Outrageous Xtravaganza” goal (annual profit goal).

• GLBC supports ongoing employee development through formal mentoring and leadership development programs along with tuition subsidies for courses at outside academic institutions and subsidies for professional accreditation.

• GLBC supports an award of excellence program to enable employees to nominate their peers for going above and beyond — winners are selected monthly and are invited to a celebration dinner at the end of the year, receive a $500 donation to the charity of their choice, VIP parking, and a shout out at the company’s townhall meeting and newsletter.
